2.1 Polymer Cross-Linked Aerogels
Ultra-lightweight polymer cross-linked aerogels are mechanically robust, highly porous, low-density materials and three times denser than native aerogels, but more than 100 times stronger.
2.2 Durable Aerogel Technologies
New material for thermal insulation and lightweight structures, the polyimide aerogels are 500 times stronger than conventional silica aerogels. The innovation represents a revolutionary advance over fragile silica aerogels because it is highly flexible and foldable in thin film form.
